Wind of Change by the Scorpions

When i was in Primary 6, my family went to Indonesia. That was the first time I heard Scorpions Wind of Change and fell in love with it. My dad bought the tapes for me. Yes, the days of the tapes...lolx..what CDs, what DVDs...it's the walkman days...i still keep my panasonic err..what is it called - cassette player. My dad bought 2 from his friend; a second-hand purchase but who cares...it looks brand new..and it was cool to have one. Haha..not that we brought them to school...

Hmm...actually I never did memorise the songs...not even the chorus...strange considering I played it over and over again...lolx...i only remember the whistle and the line...Wind of Change if someone were to ask me off-hand...but I can hum to it so easily...and can even sing along and know the next word coming...

What I love about the song:
The intro..especially the whistle! Haha...Man he sure boy can whistle!

What's so significant about this song:
Look at the beautiful lyrics..."Take me to the magic of the moment....On a glory nightWhere the children of tomorrow dream away.....in the wind of change. The wind of change...Blows straight into the face of time...Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell...For peace of mind"

Full lyrics

I folow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change
The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
Walking down the street
Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever

I folow the MoskvaDown to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
The wind of change
Blows straight into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell
For peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to say
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and meTake me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
